Some wall-parking in front of Montreal's Skyline

A BMW Sauber Pit Lane Park is an artificially made up Formula 1 pit including a little demo-track, situated right in downtown Montreal, where fans can easily (and free of charge) access what they are not supposed to see at the race track:
One can see the technical details of the cars as well as one can try to become driver, race engineer, team-boss on various simulators. Visitors can even try their skills in changing tires, clocked and at one of the axles of a real Formula 1 race-car. All this draws a precise picture on what is going on in the background of a successful Formula 1 team.
In this BMW Pit Lane Park, there is also an action area set up, rather small for formula 1 cars, who still showed some burnouts and donuts at an incredibly massive noise level, but way big enough in matters of space for my motorcycle stunt riding show.
The tarmac surface allowed great grip, I could go full power and the loads of spectators liked it. Throughout the three days of riding, more than 41.000 spectators have been counted at the entry gates, and especially many of the die-hard car-racing fans were quite surprised and positively impressed by my riding.
During the first two days of Pit Lane Park also the official BMW Formula 1 staff at the race-track had some down-time and almost completely showed up to see my riding. From the mechanics up to Dr. Mario Theissen, the Team-Manager himself. Guess what? He too seemed to like it a lot, the feedback I received has been great.
On Saturday evening, the Pit Lane Park closed, because Sunday was the big race-day on the circuit Gilles Villeneuve, demanding all and any attention. After exploring the vibrant Montreal nightlife together with my wife Renate and my videographer/agent Bernd for another (hot & VIP) night, we moved to the racetrack next morning.
All three of us were looking forward to this a lot. The guys at Red Bull Racing supplied us with hard-to-get paddock passes, and all of a sudden, we found ourselves right in the middle of places and amongst people we usually don’t get to see … except for on the tv screen, maybe …
We even saw the race inside the BMW pits, together with the all geared up mechanics crew!
Experiencing Formula 1 like that is a hell of a show, but not many people of the attending 120.000 (!) got to see it as close as we did. That’s why the Pit Lane Park idea makes that much sense. It’s open. And who knows, maybe you’ll see me motorcycle stunt-riding there again, somewhere in the future. Thanks BMW, thanks Red Bull, thanks WWP for a blast of a good time.
